Principal's Profile

Dr.S.Vidyadhara is serving as Professor and Principal of the prestigious Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, since its inception (2005). He studied B. Pharmacy from V. L. College of Pharmacy, Raichur, Gulbarga University, M.Pharmacy from J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Tamil Nadu, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai and got awarded PhD in Pharmacy by JNTU, Hyderabad. He is continuously serving the teaching profession for the past 31 years at various capacities. Earlier he worked at N. E. T. College of Pharmacy, Raichur, R.V.S College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, K. V. S. R. Siddhartha college of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vijayawada and Bapatla College of Pharmacy, Bapatla at various levels as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Professor.

Dr. S. Vidyadhara has published 281 research and review papers in reputed National & International Journals. He received Outstanding Scientist Award at INSO 2023 Conference, Pondicherry organized on 15th and 16th April, 2023. He received Best Principal Award from Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), AP State in the year 2022. He was also a recipient of Fellow Pharmacist Award during 2017 by Indian Pharmaceutical Association. He has received Fellow of Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy award during 2007 and Fellow of A.P. Academy of Science Award during 2017. He was recipient of Best Research Paper Award in the subject of Pharmaceutical Technology during 9th International Convention of APTI held at Visakhapatnam in the year 2004. He has guided more than 29 PhDs, 83 P.G and 23 U.G Projects.

Dr. S. Vidyadhara is presently serving as Chairman, BOS in Pharmacy, Acharya Nagarjuna University. He is also nominated as Member, BoS in Pharmacy, JNTU, Gurajada Vizianagaram. He was nominated as member of Consent for Establishment Committee (CFE), A.P. Pollution Control Board, Vijayawada Zone & Consent for Operation Committee (CFO), APPCB State Board upto 2023. Presently he is serving as Member of Consent Management and Monitoring Committee (CMM), Vijayawada Zone, APPCB. He is also Executive member of Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy (ABAP), Life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (IACP), Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) and Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IICHE). Earlier, he served as Chairman, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Education Division & President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Andhra Pradesh State branch. He is very actively associated with IPA as member for the past 20 years.

He served as E.C. Member, A.P. Pharmacy Council, Andhra Pradesh during 2009 to 2015. He also served as External Expert committee Member, Departmental Research Committee, Department of Pharmacy, Krishna University, A.P. Dr. S. Vidyadhara is also serving as examiner, paper setter, PhD thesis evaluator for various Indian Universities. He is also a reviewer for various national and international Journals.

He is very actively involving in various professional society activities. He has attended several national and international conferences and also served as Chairman / Co-Chairman for various professional conferences. He has also organized several conferences, workshops and awareness activities and promoted various professional bodies.

Presently he is elected and serving as Chief Editor, Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and also as Editorial Board Member, Pharma Times. With his vast 31 years of experience, CHIPS has been groomed as one of the outstanding Pharmacy Institutes in the country.
