Department of Pharmaceutics
The Pharmaceutics department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories with advanced equipments and modern facilities to provide quality and practical training to the budding pharmacists and to facilitate research in areas such as formulation development, drug delivery systems, and quality control.
The Department has different laboratories to deal with the curricular content in the areas of Pharmaceutics, Physical Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Industrial Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics and Novel Drug Delivery Systems in the B.Pharm, Pharm.D and M. Pharm courses.
This institution is recognised as a research centre for Ph.D programme by Acharya Nagarjuna University. For carrying out research this institution is equipped with state of art research and incubation cell in an area of 1200 sq ft.

Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis
The Pharmaceutical Analysis Department is equipped with three state-of-the-art specialized laboratories designed for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical substances and formulations. These laboratories offer hands-on training in a wide range of instrumental techniques. In addition to academic instruction, they support research and development activities, including stability testing and method validation. The labs play a vital role in enhancing analytical skills and promoting a strong foundation in quality assurance among students and researchers.

Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry houses three well-equipped laboratories, collectively spanning 3,000 sq. ft. These labs are located on the second and third floors, offering plentiful ventilation and a modern, safe environment for practical learning and research.
Each lab is outfitted with essential instrumentation and preparation rooms, including a mini instrumentation lab designed for hands-on training in analytical techniques. Safety is a top priority, with fire extinguishers, lab safety precaution posters, and adherence to best practices in lab management.
Our labs are supported by high-speed broadband internet, enabling access to online resources and research tools. The practical sessions are guided by highly experienced faculty and trained technical staff, ensuring quality education and safe experimentation.
Department of Pharmacology
Department of Physiology and Pharmacology is well ventilated and equipped with basic to sophisticated instruments to provide a thorough learning experience for its students. With four laboratories covering a total area of 2700 sq.ft, there’s a lot of space dedicated to hands-on learning and research. The Physiology laboratory’s focus on Human Anatomy and Physiology models and charts ensures that students can gain a solid foundation in the subject, which is essential for anyone pursuing a career in healthcare or medical research. Pharmacology laboratory’s integration with a projector facility and Ex-Pharm Simulated Software is a fantastic approach to computer-assisted learning. It enhances student engagement by simulating real-world pharmacological scenarios, providing a dynamic and interactive way to learn.

Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry
The Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry at Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (C.H.I.P.S.) is deeply committed to the scientific exploration of medicinal plants and natural products. Our mission is to discover and develop bioactive compounds and formulate effective herbal medicines for modern pharmaceutical applications. At C.H.I.P.S., the department is equipped with two state-of-the-art laboratories, spread across 1200 sq. ft. and 900 sq. ft., providing an advanced environment for both teaching and research. Our work emphasizes the identification, extraction, isolation, and structural elucidation of phytoconstituents, along with comprehensive evaluation of their pharmacological properties.

Department of Pharmacy Practice
A spacious 1050 square feet lab is available at the institute for the department of Pharmacy Practice to carry out all the necessary practicalβs and demonstrative sessions. The lab constitutes of a Model Pharmacy, Patient Counselling area and Drug Information area and is so designed to meet the requirements of Pharm D curriculum. A full body Mannequin and a bust sized Mannequin is available at the laboratory to train the students for IV-IM sites, Naso Gastric intubations and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation respectively.
