RESEARCH POLICY

Research and developmental activities creates and disseminates new knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, which promotes innovation and motivate better learning and teaching among faculties and students of the college. Research policy promotes research activities, best publications and develops collaborations between the departments of the institute and between the institute and industry.

PURPOSE

The aim of the Research Policy is to create awareness among faculty and researchers in CHIPS for enriching and enhancing the R & D activities which in turn help in the professional carrier. The policy also serves as an overall framework within which research activities may be carried out.

SCOPE

This is a institutional Research Policy. It is implementable in all the departments of the college.

OBJECTIVES

1. To provide efficient and effective support system for faculty and researchers in their research activities.
2. To ensure that the publications by faculty and researchers should be in quality journals, indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, UGC Indexed journals and/or with impact factor.
3. To nurture an environment of undertaking socially useful research with potential for commercialization.
4. Establish Research Centre in the institution with potential for Excellence.
5. To provide necessary information and guidance to the faculty members for applying Research Projects sponsored by external agencies such as UGC, AICTE, DST, etc.

POLICY AND GUIDELINES

UNDERTAKING RESEARCH

1. Faculty members of CHIPS are expected to undertake research, leading to quality publications, presentations in National/International conferences of repute, generation of Intellectual property with potential for commercialization.
2. Research output will be considered one of the criteria for faculty recruitment and promotion along with other academic responsibilities.

QUALITY OF PUBLICATIONS

The research carried out in the college system should be of good quality adhering to highest standards of ethics. The institute encourages the faculty members and researchers to publish their articles in journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science and UGC indexed journals.
